Kirina's Closet

So, according to WoWhead’s website change, and it’s Tuesday (maintenance day), I can only conclude that the screenshots I had left to take of some of the Eastern Kingdoms (in their classic, original state) is passé due to the fact Cataclysm exploded Azeroth.

Nooooo!!!!!!!

/Sigh. If you haven’t noticed, I added a new section under Fashion entitled “Spirit of Azeroth”. I have finished my Kalimdor sets (still writing up the article), but, I was also in the process of putting together the Eastern Kingdom article too. How am I supposed to pose around a big crater in Westfall? Or, take a screenshot of a not-so-flooded Wetlands. ;( Good thing I got a pictures of the Park in Stormwind before it was obliterated, but, writing about an outfit for it now seems kind of pointless.

I feel as though I have let this site down by not working faster. I really wish that I had written these articles “on time” so that it was out for you all to see and enjoy before the world changed forever. There’s no sense crying over spilled milk now, but, it still really hurts me, and I’m sorry. I kind of wish Blizzard had waited, what…a week and a couple of days?…to do this, but whatever.

What’s left of these two articles should be up tomorrow, when I don’t have class, or much of anything to worry about. But still….GRRRRR!!!!

The Pilgrim’s Bounty event started today for 2010! Yea!

I have already done all the achievements and have gotten all the items on Kirina, so, for me to have fun this year at the event, I’m focusing on my Human girl, Lafaunda (yes…Napolean Dynamite ^_^ I thought it was a cute name for her).

Anyway I put together a quick outfit for her to wear while she work towards her Pilgrim outfit, and this is what I found happened to the Journeyman’s Vest

I love this look! I hope it’s not a bug. I wrote about something like this about the Gossamer Tunic in my Fall outfit article, but, that chest-piece was “broken” in that it did not fill in the shirt below the belt (it was just flesh colored without a shirt equipped). I hope this look is here to stay, and occurs with more of our favorite chest-pieces.

If anyone has more information (like if this look only happens for only girl characters or guy characters), or if you know of other chest-pieces that this is happening to, please let us know ^_^

Finally! I guess I kept all of you that participated in the Hallow’s End Costume Contest in suspense long enough. The winners for the 2nd annual contest are:

Just like last year, Waddell and I had a tough time deciding the final winners…and you all made it even harder this year with almost twice the amount of entries as last year!

Some other costumes that stood out to us were a fierce looking Green Dragon costume, a “spooki” grim reaper, both Aladdin costumes, Whitemane, and 2 witchy and devilish Blood Elves. ^_^ There was a beautiful Draenie shaman who has an amazing collection of gear, as do the others that submitted “elite” costumes.

Also, the Hallow’s End Costume Contest is now over. Thank you all that participated! There are a lot of costumes (over 50!) to judge. Y’all made it harder this year for me and Waddell…so many great and unique costumes! But, I’m happy to see a larger turn-out this time. ^_^ The winner results should be posted within a couple of days.
