These outfits are to represent the Old Azeroth as it was, almost a sort of tribute to those zones that have been destroyed for good. <\/p>\n<p>Most of these outfits can be worn for other zones, as well; and not necessarily only in Kalimdor. I only focused on the zones I felt are most impacted by Cataclysm (I did not list all the zones because of the over-lap of these outfits), but, I will probably come back and add more later&#8230;maybe even for some of the new zones that will pop up ^_^.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=#ash>Ashenvale<\/a>\n<li><a href=#bar>The Barrens<\/a>\n<li><a href=#mul>Mulgore<\/a>\n<li><a href=#dark>Darkshore<\/a>\n<li><a href=#azs>Azshara<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><a name=ash><strong>Ashenvale<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nWhile I myself have never really been a true fan of the zone, Ashenvale is a major focus point in the lore of Kalimdor, especially between the Night Elves and Orcs. Cataclysm will not calm down the territory battle between these two factions. The Warsong lumber camps will expand, the peaceful Astranaar will be plagued with air attacks (sorry guys), and a huge volcano disrupts the very nature of the zone. <\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=154\" target=_blank>Primitive Mantle<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=15010\" target=_blank>Primal Wraps<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=153\" target=_blank>Primitive Kilt<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=714\" target=_blank>Dirty Leather Gloves<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=4693\" target=_blank>Ceremonial Leather Belt<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<span class=\"frame-outer  shutterset\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/ash1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"shutterset\" src=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/ash1.jpg\" width=200 height=150><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>\nI wanted to stay rugged with these outfits due to the fact that the Horde presence in Ashenvale is based around the hard labor of the lumber camps. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=5316\" target=_blank>Barkshell Tunic<\/a> can be used instead of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=14581\" target=_blank>Dokebi Chestguard<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=5422\" target=_blank>Brambleweed Leggings<\/a> can replace the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=14585\" target=_blank>Dokebi Leggings<\/a>. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=31249\" target=_blank>Bog Spaulders<\/a> can be replaced for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=24707\" target=_blank>Haal&#8217;eshi Pauldrons<\/a>; the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=29810\" target=_blank>Dragon Crested Epaulets<\/a> (neutral quest reward) are in a different style, but share the same color scheme. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=7478\" target=_blank>Ranger Leggings<\/a> can be replaced for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=17751\" target=_blank>Brusslehide Leggings<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><center>Any of these outfits can be worn also for the Stonetalon Mountains, which shares the same devastation of excess logging and volcanic activity.<\/center><\/p>\n<p align=right><a href=#top>Back to Top<\/a><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><a name=bar><strong>The Barrens<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nI remember trying to level, all those years ago, in Hillsbrad Foothills as a very newb level 19. Back in the day on Lightninghoof, there were regular &#8220;Tarren Mill pillaging&#8221;, which caused my leveling to go absolutely nowhere. Waddell took me to a far off land known as The Barrens, and the peaceful safari I encountered was so much easier. The Barrens is one of my favorite zones, and I will hate to see it broken in two by a volcanic crater and war-ridden. While this is not the only set in this same style, I chose this one for its Barrens-like colors of yellow\/gold and tan. <\/p>\n<p>The Barrens is also a very tribal zone:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<span class=\"frame-outer  shutterset\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/bar2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"shutterset\" src=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/bar2.jpg\" width=200 height=150><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=9953\" target=_blank>Chieftain&#8217;s Headdress<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=6117\" target=_blank>Squire&#8217;s Shirt<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=14275\" target=_blank>Gaea&#8217;s Raiment<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=10800\" target=_blank>Darkwater Bracers<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>\nThe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=14275\" target=_blank>Gaea&#8217;s Raiment<\/a> offers this &#8220;tribal&#8221; feel without being too  &#8220;feathery&#8221; or ragged; it&#8217;s also one of the more popular styles of robes amongst the Horde, too. There are other robes in the same style as this one, such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=14434\" target=_blank>Windchaser Robe<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=7430\" target=_blank>Twilight Robe<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=14453\" target=_blank>Highborne Robes<\/a>, which also match the chosen color scheme for outfits in this zone. <\/p>\n<p>I used the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=10800\" target=_blank>Darkwater Bracers<\/a> because they match the style of bracers\/gloves worn by Orgrimmar Guards (like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=7447\" target=_blank>Sentinel Bracers<\/a>), but, by being blue, they match the robe. I felt the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=6117\" target=_blank>Squire&#8217;s Shirt<\/a> also best matched this outfit if you desire to have a shirt equipped on your character; however, it is not necessarily needed.<\/p>\n<p>Another common outfit style amongst Kalimdor Horde members can be found in the Crochet Armor set:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=127\" target=_blank>Trapper&#8217;s Shirt<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=3943\" target=_blank>Crochet Vest<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=3936\" target=_blank>Crochet Belt<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=892\" target=_blank>Gnoll Casting Gloves<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=3941\" target=_blank>Crochet Pants<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=3937\" target=_blank>Crochet Boots<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<span class=\"frame-outer  shutterset\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/bar3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"shutterset\" src=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/bar3.jpg\" width=200 height=150><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>\nThis outfit brings out the darker under-tones of the colors found in The Barrens (like in the vegetation around the zone). I do not think that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=892\" target=_blank>Gnoll Casting Gloves<\/a> are available anymore since Cataclysm, but, they look the same as other rugged gloves of its type, such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=7349\" target=_blank>Herbalist Gloves<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><center>These outfits, along with some from the <a href=\"http:\/\/wowrpc.waddellconsulting.com\/?page_id=677\" target=_blank>Shaman outfits article<\/a>, make great outfits to wear in remembrance of classic Thousand Needles, too.<\/center><\/p>\n<p align=right><a href=#top>Back to Top<\/a><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><a name=mul><strong>Mulgore<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nWhile Mulgore is not destroyed, per say, like other zones, it is plagued full of new enemies that have taken control of the peaceful plains. <\/p>\n<p>These outfits, in my opinion, represent this peaceful, tribal feel of what Mulgore was. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/npc=42686\" target=_blank>Cairne Bloodhoof<\/a>, you will be greatly missed. <\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<span class=\"frame-outer  shutterset\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/mul1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"shutterset\" src=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/mul1.jpg\" width=200 height=150><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=6134\" target=_blank>Primitive Mantle<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=46824\" target=_blank>Pilgrim&#8217;s Robe<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=4786\" target=_blank>Wise Man&#8217;s Belt<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=15226\" target=_blank>Giant Club<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>\nWhile there are many other robes similar to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=46824\" target=_blank>Pilgrim&#8217;s Robe<\/a> (like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=14109\" target=_blank>Native Robe<\/a> and the actual Tauren druid starter robe the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=6139\" target=_blank>Novice&#8217;s Robe<\/a>), I choose this one because it includes a sort of &#8220;bracer attachment&#8221; that matches the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=4786\" target=_blank>Wise Man&#8217;s Belt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=6720\" target=_blank>Spirit Hunter Headdress<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=45673\" target=_blank>Thunder Bluff Doublet<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=15159\" target=_blank>Nocturnal Tunic<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=47498\" target=_blank>Gloves of Dismal Fortune<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=44194\" target=_blank>Giant-Friend Kilt<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<span class=\"frame-outer  shutterset\"><span><span><span><span><a href=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/mul3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"shutterset\" src=\"wp-content\/uploads\/images\/mul3.jpg\" width=200 height=150><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>\nThis outfit is a lot darker, but still very &#8220;Mulgore&#8221;. I choose the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=6720\" target=_blank>Spirit Hunter Headdress<\/a> (Horde quest reward) to match the colors; a good substitute for this one is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=5753\" target=_blank>Ruffled Chaplet<\/a>, which is in the same colors, or any other feathered headdress will work, too. I got the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wowhead.com\/item=47498\" target=_blank>Gloves of Dismal Fortune<\/a> when no one else needed them from a Trial of the Champion heroic. It&#8217;s pretty dim, especially near the coast where the sun shines in a gray sky on the white beach. I&#8217;ve enjoyed my passings through Auberdine, even though I was stealthing around like a fugitive.
