I used a medium weight craft yarn for the ribbing on my hat: Red Heart in Light Sage, and knitted with US size 8 (5.0 mm) needles. However, I found that this came out to be too bulky for the hat, in my opinion. So, if you would like to knit the ribbing, I suggest using a smaller yarn with the correct needles for said smaller yarn.<\/p>\n
